A
BIG
BOLD
ONE.
I've been dying over some vintage rings and button bracelets I've seen lately and I just HAD to try my hand at some.. except I didn't have the right pieces to make it.. so I improvised :)
I know I've told you about the grab bags of broken jewelry I purchase at my local thrift store, well they are filled with everything. I found a ring that was missing some stones, and chose an earring. I removed the post on the back of the earring and hot glued the ring to the back of the earring. I suggest to make a ring to use a glue like e6000 and not hot gluing it. But the crafter in me HAS to try an idea when it consumes me regardless of having the right materials!
And now without further adieu

For a wonderful Mom
**Edited to add that the Mom loved her bouquet! It arrived just in time and I heard she had to really wait until Mother's Day to open it!**
So I've been posting on facebook how one of our bouquets would be the perfect gift for a Mom on Mother's Day.. A friend's husband messaged me to put together something special for his wife, mother of their babes. I was so excited because she deserves anything and everything beautiful. She is a wonderful mom, a great wife, and a terrific friend! 3 days later, and I've finished it, so until Mother's Day approaches, I get to stare at this:

Sharing
It seems I've put the blog aside while I've been working on a special order! Here are some sneak peaks! She ordered flat backed bouquets, I believe she is going to hang them on the wall.
And the last photo is the craziness where all the bouquets start!

For a sweet baby
Here are the bows I put together for Miss. Sadie. She is 3 months old, and from the photo's I've seen she has quite the head of hair! Which I love!
I'll be placing these bows on lace headbands but I couldn't wait to share!

touching base
This weekend I made my first sale! I am really happy! The woman I sold 6 bows too was so happy to get them! And her daughter who loves PEACE signs was stoked to get her cascading bow!
It's March Break for my kids this week! Too bad Mommy is sick ! LE BOO! I can't believe how much I've been sick this winter, I had a really bad cold before Christmas, the stomach flu and now another cold! I want to take my kiddos to the movies to see The Lorax! All three, solo parenting since Daddy is working his buns off. This should make me or break me. M is just shy of two and the text book two years old .. she won't sit for her life! But maybe some popcorn will help.. ah who am I kidding this is going to be a difficult task!
Another woman I worked with a few years ago has requested some headbands for her new little addition.. a beautiful little girl! So I'll be working on those in the next few days, look out for the great photos. I'm hoping when I deliver them to her, I'll be able to snap a few photos of her..
Anywhoo.. just wanted to touch base with all my readers and give you a little insight to my daily life

About me
Well since I've only shared crafty things, my etsy store and awesome peg people.. I thought I should share some things about myself so you, can get to know the crafter behind the brush, camera, or glue gun!
Well my name is Tara Leigh, my mother never hyphenated my name so I have multiple ID's with different first names! HA. I'm a stay at home mom.. although I'm itching to get a little part time job.. there is a new Micheals opening up on my side of the river.. and even if I am just stocking things.. I would be in heaven! I have 3 children, M who is my youngest, she is almost 2 years old. She keeps me going all day and sometimes into the night! A my eldest daughter, is 6 she is the poster-child for "middle children" and makes life sometimes hectic and loud! D or as I refer to him as Buggy or Bug, is my sole son. He holds a special special spot in my heart, my only boy.. he loves all things Lego and his Mama! He wrote a note to me last month announcing how he loves me more then the grass and the dirt! So that kind of explains my name MADLeigh Creative.
I have loved to craft for a long time, 20+ years! I have always sucked at drawing and when I was younger I really wanted to draw neat pictures.. but my people always missed a finger, the ears were drawn too sharp and my eyes were lopsided.. I love beads, glistening crystals, cute paper, hand sewing, DIY anything really! I'm really shy in showing "off" my work, I often give everything I make away. It's been just recently after hearing some awesome reactions over the Holiday's that I was serious about doing something and maybe for money! I often go through spurts of a certain craft, often varying from buttons, to yarn, paper and paint.
I like to craft when the feeling comes over me! And it can be in between stirs of dinner, or putting children to bed, I don't want to miss a beat!
My Man in my life, a great Dad and Poppa hates the mess my crafting leaves behind, paint splatts on the floor or permanent paint speckling our dinner table (which I just painted red.. on a DIY crave!). We are polar opposites, but some how we work great together. He has OCD, and any kind of mess creates some wicked anxiety.. and I wouldn't have it any other way
